Date with Kampong Glam and Al Gore

Sigh.. As I have to work really long hours, weekends are a rare chance to rest, rest, rest. But my active spirit is never dormant. It always wants to come out to play.

Last Saturday, we happened to run some errands at Beach Road and decided to spend the afternoon at exotic Kampong Glam.

After this, we headed to National Library to see the screening of An Inconvenient Truth in which Al Gore gave a passionate and spirited lecture about our sick Earth.

I've always been conscious of using our natural resources with respect to electricity, paper, plastic, carbon etc. And now, I'm taking it a personal responsibility to remind and discourage people from wasting our resources.

With the spotlight on Saving Gaia issues and the many Earth documentaries playing on Discovery and NGC this month (to commemorate Earth Day), you will not miss the important message that our Earth is dying at an alarming rate. The Earth can adapt to the damage we're doing to it.

But we will not be able to adapt fast enough to the consequences of the damage. Disaster will happen in our lifetime if we don't act now.
