开学恐惧症

If you observed the following symptoms (1 day - 1 week before school starts) in your little sister, you can be sure that she has a phobia of starting school:

  1. A bout of stomach aches and dizziness (not faked). The fear conditioned her body to display biological symptoms in order to skip school.
  2. An irrational display of tantrums, "I want to wear Hello Kitty shoes!" in the middle of the night.
  3. An attack of anxiety. Never go out with family on the Sunday before school starts because there's bound to be some unfinished holiday homework. It's always a bummer to need to return home in the middle of a movie just cos there's a "week's worth of Maths assignment to be handed in the next morning".
This is a condition the family has to endure throughout the little sister's school life. Oh, remember to check that the uniform still fits after a short 4-week school holiday. You don't want to have the unpleasant shock that she doesn't have any fitting uniform on the first day's morning.

The Chow Sisters: 失恋篇

Baby Chow came home one day with a solemn face. She put down her bag, change out of her dress and put on rubber gloves. Then she took a broom and swept the floor with zest, filled up a pail of water and cleaned the toilet furiously and stacked up the routine mess in her room.

We couldn't understand the sudden eagerness to help out at home, for she was usually the princess who does little.

As as she wiped the tiles in the bathroom, tears starting streaming down her face.

原来是失恋了。

Still On The Man Who Makes White Socks Look Damn Cool

Baby Chow wailed (after watching a very spectacular MJ from Dangerous Tour 1992): "I wished I had paid more attention to him before. Now it's too late!"

Just to show you how spectacular it is; check out his exit from the arena from 6:10 onwards):

The Chow Sisters: 心狠手辣

When the Chow Sisters were little, they bickered all the time. Mel Chow was always too soft- hearted to mean what she said. Baby Chow, on the other hand, took the most extreme measures to show that she was really mad; she would go and destroy Mel Chow's most precious possessions.

Once, she marched over to the Mel's prized bookshelf, took out a random book and slashed the pages. And she threw the book in Mel's face, "Take that!"

Books were the most important things in the world to young Mel then. She was devastated.

This incident happened when Baby was just 4 years old, even before The Death of Kaka .

Baby's Fashion Statement

"The best way to avoid having torn, tattered and dirty shoes is to have many, many pairs of shoes. By reducing the amount of time wearing each pair, we slow down the wearing out process."

Couldn't agree more :D

The Chow Sisters: The Death Of Kaka

13 years ago, Mel owned a smelly pillow known as Kaka.

Baby: Say sorry or... Or I'll throw your Kaka away!
Mel: Throw! I dare you to do it!

And so she did. Not into the dustbin but down the rubbish chute making sure Kaka could not survive the eleven-storey fall.

A girl's vicious and vengeful nature is already apparent at the tender age of six.

The Chow Sisters: The Pessimist And The Eternal Optimist

A girl stared at the sisters walking past.

Noel: Why is she looking at us like that? Did my mascara run? Is there a spot on my nose?
Mel: She is staring because we're chio.

家姐 Is Evil

The only child-ren are gonna curse me for this...

For the past week, Baby went to chalet, leaving Papa, Mama and the house (in the day time) to myself. I'm can't help but admit, Baby, that I enjoyed being the only child and baby in the house. Don't misunderstand, I will give up everything to have you in my life but sometimes... It's a relief not to have someone snapping at me for reasons that have nothing to do with me, or take absolute responsibility for the actions of someone junior, or sacrifice anything at all. It also feels good to be fussed around by Ma and Pa and be the bundle of joy who makes them laugh. I like to imagine that the aircon room, the hi-fi set, the laptop and other things... belong to me instead.

I am an evil sister to harbour such thoughts. But I always take pride in believing that all younger siblings will love to have me as their older sister. From what I know, very few elder siblings are as self-sacrificial as I am. Heh.
